Holding a One to One Conversation about Returning from Furlough Leave

As employers move into a new phase of management of the Coronavirus and the longevity of the Government’s job retention scheme is in the spotlight, the role of managers in having good quality conversations with their team about the organisation’s plans for the return to work is becoming increasingly important.

This practical, participative, live-streamed digital workshop for a group of up to 10 people will equip managers with the knowledge and techniques they need to deliver a clear message and deal with objections and concerns assertively but with empathy.

By attending the workshop, managers will be able to:

  • Handle concerns about returning to work with confidence and sensitivity
  • Support a colleague to work through their initial concern about returning through great quality questions and a coaching approach
  • Know when, and how, to call on support from occupational health and health and safety colleagues to resolve conflicts about returning
