Gender Pay Gap
On 3rd October 2022 the government announced that it would be increasing the threshold for what constitutes a small business from 50 employees to 500, and would apply to all new regulations under development. It will also cover those under current and future review, including retained EU law.

It was unclear as to whether this change would impact gender pay gap reporting which would have impacted approximately 40,000 businesses within the UK.

However, the Government has confirmed that for now, the gender pay gap reporting threshold remains at 250 employees.

We will watch closely to ascertain whether the government will include gender pay gap in their future review for change and will update you accordingly.
