Following a ground-breaking 2018, we’re pleased to announce that our flagship Mock Employment Tribunal events are hitting the road again for 2019.
Taking place in Leicester, Leeds, London, Liverpool, Beverley, Cheshire, Birmingham and Bristol our mock employment tribunal gives delegates the chance to experience first-hand the employment tribunal process, understand the issues that could arise during a case and how an employment tribunal may deal with them.
Here’s some of the fun that you can expect on the day:
Although the tribunal still remains a mysterious and daunting prospect for many employers, in 2018 we helped many HR professionals learn valuable lessons about the process.
During each event, we will use a real-life case which focusses on the troublesome effects of age discrimination.
You’ll meet our two main characters; Alex Potts, a humiliated and demeaned employee who feels side-lined by her age, and Chris Highwater; Alex’s new line manager who believes this issue has been blown way out of proportion and can’t see what her problem is.
Delegates will watch Alex and Chris give evidence, followed by an intense (and amusing!) cross examination by Vista’s team of employment lawyers.
During each session delegates will receive a detailed insight into how decisions are made and how actions taken by employees can very easily become key features of a tribunal hearing.
The Judge will make the final decision based on the evidence given, but what will the outcome be?
