This one-day workshop explores negotiation techniques and puts them into the context of achieving a pay deal with your union: It will provide you with a series of practical techniques to use to plan and execute your negotiation with skill and confidence.
By the end of the workshop you will be able to:
- Describe with confidence trade unions’ perspective on pay negotiations: What are their powers of influence, and how can they use them?
- Identify your bargaining position as well as the union’s
- Formulate a plan to conduct a negotiation within the company’s parameters
- Manage reactions to the progress of negotiation and plan communications that are constructive and keep the negotiation on track.
