Back by popular demand – Vista’s Mock Employment Tribunal (on tour!)
Last year the Supreme Court ruled employment tribunal fees unlawful, and since then there has been a 66% increase in claims – a marked change for organisations across all sectors.
It’s fair to say that the tribunal still remains a mysterious and daunting prospect for many employers. Alongside the formal preparation and the intense cross examination on the horizon, a helping hand wouldn’t go amiss. Let us help!
Taking place at multiple locations throughout 2018, our free of charge mock employment tribunal will allow delegates to experience first-hand the employment tribunal process, understand the issues that could arise during a case and how an employment tribunal may deal with them.
We will be using a real-life case, focussing on the troublesome effects of age discrimination. You’ll meet our two main characters; Jackie Potts, a humiliated and demeaned employee who feels side-lined by her age, and Howard Highwater; Jackie’s new line manager who believes this issue has been blown way out of proportion and can’t see what her problem is.
Delegates will have the opportunity to explore this real-life case before watching the witnesses give evidence, and being cross examined by the Vista team of employment lawyers. Each session will give a detailed insight into how decisions are made, and how actions taken by employees can very easily become key features of a tribunal hearing.
The Judge will make the final decision based on the evidence given, but what will the outcome be? Join us at one of our free of charge sessions to find out.
